SMART GIRLS: A World Inside

Smart Girls is a group for young women at the Boys & Girls Club that teaches them healthy lifestyle habits and provides a support system to help the girls reach their full potential. The Benton Harbor Chapter (MI) asked Aisle Rocket Studios to help design materials and provide a theme for their annual luncheon given for the young ladies. 

The Logo

The logo for "A World Inside" consists of hand drawn elements (a world) to emphasize the personal touch that the program has for the young women it mentors, and each of their own personal experiences and stories. "Inside" is set in a condensed, bold typeface to emphasize the structure and support that the young women receive while within the program. 

Marketing Material Illustration

I was given a quote by Frederick Buechner to go with the logo and concept for "A World Inside" I took the idea of using hand lettered type from the logo and applied it to the quote to create the image that would be used for the promotional material. 

The Invite

Another concept was chosen to move forward with, so the invitation was never finalized. Placeholder images and copy were used.
